What age group uses skin care the most?

If we divide our data by age, Millennials seem to be more likely than other age groups to have a skincare routine (87%), followed closely by Generation Z (86%). People aged 18 to 34 spend more time and money on skin care than older people (an average of 15.60 pounds a month on skincare products), a third more than people aged 35 to 54 and triple what people over 55 spend. After the age of 50, the skin cannot produce lipids as before, causing greater dryness and more wrinkles. This is also attributed to decreased collagen and hyaluronic acid production.

The skin becomes thinner due to slow regeneration and deteriorating wound healing. Age spots increase along with sensitivity to UV rays. Many members of Generation X continue to care for young children or teenagers as they become caregivers for their own parents, and that's why they don't have time to sell nonsense or tricks, nor do they have time to research for hours to find the right product. With an intriguing and sophisticated eye for aesthetics and a passion for products worth keeping, Generation Alpha's obsession with skincare isn't based on what's inside the bottle, but on how collectible, fast and shareable the product is. When shopping for cosmetics and skin care products, look for products that aren't comedogenic, as they won't clog pores.

For example, if brand loyalty is an important factor for the target audience, the marketing strategy could focus on creating emotional connections and highlighting the brand's reputation and legacy. The value of facial skin care has increased at a faster rate than inflation, so there is an opportunity to drive more growth if it better targets men. Social networks can also be a valuable tool for understanding the attitudes and values of your target audience, as they provide a platform for consumers to share their opinions and interact with the brands.
