Section 01What we collect
| Data | When | Why | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you subscribe | To send the pack and revision notes | Until you unsubscribe |
| Subscription type | When you subscribe | To know which form you used | Until you unsubscribe |
| Country code | When you subscribe | Coarse geography only, from the request | Until you unsubscribe |
| Timestamp | When you subscribe | To record when consent was given | Until you unsubscribe |
| Message content | When you use the contact form | To answer you | Until the matter is resolved |
That is the complete list. We do not ask for a name unless you volunteer one in a message, we do not ask for a date of birth, and we do not ask for anything about your skin or your health.
Section 02What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, trade or share your email address with any third party.
- We do not run advertising networks or advertising trackers on this site.
- We do not build behavioural profiles or use your data to target anything at you.
- We do not use tracking pixels in emails to record whether you opened them.
- We do not require an account, a login or a password, because there is nothing here to log in to.
Section 03Cookies
This site sets no cookies for advertising, analytics profiling or personalisation. The site is static and does not need them to function. If your browser reports a cookie on this domain, it is not one we have set for tracking purposes.
Section 04Where the data is stored
Subscription records are stored in a key value store operated by our hosting provider. Access is limited to the people who operate the publication. The record consists of the fields listed in the table above and nothing more.
Section 05Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Given that we hold an email address and four short fields, all three requests are simple to answer. Write to us through the contact page and we will action it.
The fastest route to deletion is the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, which removes the record.
Section 06Children
This publication is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen, and the protocols here assume an adult reader. Teenage acne in particular should be discussed with a pharmacist or GP rather than managed from a website.
Section 07Changes to this page
If this policy changes, the revision number in the header changes with it, and we will say so in a revision note to subscribers before the change takes effect rather than after.
